General description

Monoclonal Anti- BOP1 (rat IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma BOP 6H11 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (P3X63Ag8.653) and splenocytes from rat immunized with a peptide corresponding to a fragment of human BOP1, coupled to ovalbumin.

Application

Monoclonal Anti-BOP1 antibody produced in rat has been used in several immunochemical techniques including immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunocytochemistry.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ribosome biogenesis protein BOP1 is an essential component of A nucleolar complex, PeBoW that is involved in ribosome biogenesis and cell proliferation. Fluctuations in Bop1 protein level were found to affect the assembly and integrity of the whole PeBoW (Pes1, Bop1, and WDR12) complex. Overexpression of Bop1 mRNA is associated with the development of colorectal cancer.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Target genes of the protooncogene c-myc are implicated in cell cycle and growth control, yet the linkage of both is still unexplored. Here, we show that the products of the nucleolar target genes Pes1 and Bop1 form a stable complex

Chemoresistance is a major obstacle to the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), which has a poor prognosis. Increasing evidence has demonstrated the essential role of cancer stem cells (CSCs) in the process of TNBC chemoresistance. However, the underlying mechanism
