DescriptionImmunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Detects the ~40 kDa CSN3 protein.
BackgroundThe COP9 signalosome (CSN) is composed of eight distinct subunits and is highly homologous to the lid subcomplex of the 26S proteasome. CSN is associated with de-ubiquitination activity and protein kinase activities capable of phosphorylating important signaling regulators. CSN is involved in a number of cellular and developmental processes. It has been reported that CSN3 inhibits the NF-κB activation triggered by tumor necrosis factor (TNF) but not that triggered by IL-1.
