      Control
      • Included free of charge with the antibody is 40 µg of control antigen (lyophilized powder). The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 µL of sterile deionized water. For negative control, preincubate 1 µg of peptide with 1 µg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.
PresentationAffinity purified immunoglobulin. Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA, and 0.025% sodium azide as a preservative. Reconstitute with 200 µL of sterile deionized water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 xg for 5 min).

UniProt SummaryFunction: Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated potassium channel. Elicits a slowly activating, outward rectifying current. Channel properties may be modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly.
Subunit structure: The potassium channel is probably composed of a homo- or heterotetrameric complex of pore-forming alpha subunits that can associate with modulating beta subunits.
Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Detected in superior cervical, mesenteric and coeliac ganglia. Expressed in brain (piriform cortex, olfactory tubercle, cerebral cortex, hippocampus pyramidial cells and dentate gyrus and basal ganglia of caudate/putamen and accumbens nucleus). Expressed in pituitary.
Domain: The segment S4 is probably the voltage-sensor and is characterized by a series of positively charged amino acids at every third position.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the potassium channel family. H (Eag) subfamily.
      Contains 1 cyclic nucleotide-binding domain.
      Contains 1 PAC (PAS-associated C-terminal) domain.
      Contains 1 PAS (PER-ARNT-SIM) domain.
