      DescriptionBioTracker Red Hydrogen Sulphide Live Cell Dye
      OverviewHydrogen silfide (H2S) has emerged as an important gaseous signaling molecule and important physiological mediator in living organisms. The endogenous H2S is mainly produced in mitochondria or cytosol by enzymatic reactions, where it regulates energy production in mitochondria under stressful conditions. In addition, H2S appears to be involved in various physiological processes, such as suppression of oxidative stress, modulation of neurotransmission, calcium homeostasis, and long-term potentiation. Abnornal concentrations of H2S have been correlated with CNS diseases such as Down syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, and other diseases of mental deficiency.

      BioTracker Blue Hydrogen sulfide live cell dye (SCT075) and BioTracker Red Hydrogen sulfide live cell dye (SCT076) are selenosulfides
      tethered to gem-dimethyl esters, which act as excellent framework for H2S probe development. SCT075 and SCT076 were tested with HeLa cells and HEK293 cells. When stimulated with Na2S, these cells produced H2S, which was detected using these probes.
