Recombinant, mouse cathepsin E fused at the C-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed NSO cells. Cathepsin E is an intracellular aspartic protease of the pepsin family, which has been reported to be involved in the cleavage of the Swedish mutant of amyloid precursor protein. Due to glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of the dimer is ~100 kDa under non-reducing conditions. Note: Must be activated before use.
