DescriptionGlutardialdehyde solution 25%
OverviewGlutardialdehyde solution 25% - for electron microscopy, is a fixing agent for specimens destined for morphological and enzyme histochemical analysis. The 25% Glutardialdehyde solution is used for the fixation of specimen of human origin for semi-thin cuttings and electron microscopy. It is diluted with phosphate buffer(Potassium dihydrogen phosphate for analysis EMSURE® ISO (Cat.no. 104873) or di-Sodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous for analysis EMSURE® ACS,Reag. Ph Eur (Cat. no. 106586)
to achieve the corresponding working concentration. Alternatively, especially sensitive material used for enzyme histochemistry, will be fixed with glutardialdehyde acc. to P.J. Anderson, purified and filled into ampoules under nitrogen(Cat.no.112179). Sensitive enzymes e.g. endogenous peroxidase can often only be visualized in this way. It is an IVD registered product and CE certified, thus can be used for clinical diagnostic purposes. For more details, please see instructions for use (IFU). The IFU can be downloaded from this webpage.

Disposal9
Carcinogenic compounds and flammable compounds labelled "Highly toxic" or "Toxic": container F. Alkyl sulfates are carcinogenic; Take particular care to avoid inhalation and skin contact. To neutralize alkyl sulfates, add dropwise (from a dropping funnel) to concentrated ice-cool Ammonia solution (Cat.No. 105426) with vigorous stirring. Before placing in container D, check the pH with pH Universal indicator strips (Cat.No. 109535).
