Our broad portfolio consists of multiplex panels that allow you to choose, within the panel, analytes that best meet your needs. On a separate tab you can choose the premixed cytokine format or a single plex kit.
Cell Signaling Kits & MAPmates™
Choose fixed kits that allow you to explore entire pathways or processes. Or design your own kits by choosing single plex MAPmates™, following the provided guidelines.
The following MAPmates™ should not be plexed together:
-MAPmates™ that require a different assay buffer
-Phospho-specific and total MAPmate™ pairs, e.g. total GSK3β and GSK3β (Ser 9)
-PanTyr and site-specific MAPmates™, e.g. Phospho-EGF Receptor and phospho-STAT1 (Tyr701)
-More than 1 phospho-MAPmate™ for a single target (Akt, STAT3)
-GAPDH and β-Tubulin cannot be plexed with kits or MAPmates™ containing panTyr

Description
Recombinant, mouse interleukin-1β expressed in E. coli. Suppresses apoptosis in rat ovarian follicles. Involved in inflammatory and immune responses and promotes wound healing. Interleukin-1 is a protein produced by stimulated macrophages and many other cell types. The following biological activities are attributed to IL-1: activation of T cells resulting in the production of IL-2 and expression of IL-2 receptors; initiation of Acute Phase Response by induction of hepatic protein synthesis; increased proteolysis of muscle proteins, amino acid mobilization, and caloric and oxygen utilization; induction of bone resorption; stimulation of fibroblast proliferation; induction of slow-wave sleep; fever production; induction of prostaglandin and leukotriene production; stimulation of thymocyte proliferation; induction of B cell proliferation and maturation and increased immunoglobulin synthesis; induction of collagenase and other proteinases in synovial fibroblasts and articular chrondrocytes, suggesting a role in pathological states such as arthritis; activation of neutrophils. 1 µg is equivalent to 1.1 x 106 WHO units.
