DescriptionM-FREEZE™ Cryoembedding media
OverviewM-FREEZE™ Cryoembedding media - for microscopy, is used for the routine preparation of specimens of unfixed tissue (native material) of human origin for preparing cryosections, e. g. in the frozen-section diagnosis procedure, for immuno-histology, and for enzyme diagnostic methods. The PEG- and PVA-based aqueous formulation helps to achieve precise and stable positioning of tissue specimens on the holder. This support matrix can be used to quickly freeze and support tissue for sectioning at 3 µm and up, with no cracking of the matrix at a variety of temperatures [-150 °C using nitrogen-cooled isopentane, CO2, or gradual freezing in the cryostat (-35 to -15 °C)].
