Overview | This product has been discontinued. Please refer to our complete listing of PKC substrates for possible alternatives. Please read the alternative product documentation carefully and contact technical service if you need additional information. Peptide sequence (amino acids 154-165) from myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate (MARCKS) protein phosphorylation site domain (PSD). Contains the first two of the four serine residues in the PSD. Phosphorylated by protein kinase C (including PKCα and β, naturally-occurring PKC δ, ε, and θ, as well as atypical PKC ξ) at Ser5 and Ser9, even though atypical PKCs do not utilize intact MARCKS as a substrate. Poor substrate for CaM kinase I, CaM kinase II, CaM kinase III, protein kinase A, and protein kinase G. |
