      Background InformationThe Millex®-SV filter is a bidirectionally supported, low-binding, syringe-operated device for the filtration of aqueous and proteinaceous solutions where minimal sample loss is desired. It will remove particles, precipitates, and undissolved powders larger than 5.0 microns (μm). The Millex®-SV sterile filter is non-pyrogenic and non-toxic. This single-use product consists of a 5.0 μm Durapore® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane filter sealed in a plastic housing.
