General description
フュームドシリカはO2(N2)/H2火炎中でSiCl4を高温加水分解することにより合成されます。ヒュームドシリカは、非晶質（アモルファス）であり、非常に高い表面積を有しています。アモルファスシリカの微小粒子は融合し、鎖状の凝集体を形成します。
Application
フュームドシリカは、ヒト肝癌細胞HuH-7とヒト肝臓細胞株HepG2のTaqmanアッセイにおいて、脂質とホルモンの低減に使用されています。エポキシ化天然ゴム／フュームドシリカ複合体の調製が報告されています。フュームドシリカの水性懸濁液とジェミニ型界面活性剤C12-s-C122Brとの相互作用に関する研究が行われています。有機クレイとフュームドシリカのナノ複合体の調製が可能です。光触媒材料の調製に、TiO2／フュームドシリカ多孔質セラミック材料が使用されています。
