Analysis Note

III型アガロースよりも硫酸含量が少なく、非特異的なタンパク質結合量が少ないという特徴があります。タンパク質の非特異的結合よって、バンドが尾を引いたりスメアになったりする可能性は最小限に抑えられています。
以下は、アガロースに関する特性のリストです：
硫酸塩含量 - 硫酸塩は存在する主要なイオン基であるため、純度の指標として使用されます。
ゲル強度 - ゲルを破壊するためにゲルに加えなければならない力。
ゲル化点 - アガロース水溶液が冷えてゲルが生成する温度。アガロース溶液は、液体からゲルへの転移時にヒステリシスを示します。すなわち、それらのゲル化点は融解温度と同じではありません。
電気浸透（EEO）- ゲルの中を通り抜ける液体の動き。アガロースゲルのアニオン基はマトリックスに固定されて動けませんが、解離できるカウンターカチオンはマトリックスのカソードに向かって移動するため、EEOが起こります。通常、生体高分子の電気泳動の動きはアノードに向かうため、EEOは内部対流のために分離を乱す場合があります。
