Application

グリセロールは、免疫蛍光法に用いる封入剤の成分として使用されています。また、ポリ(3,4-エチレンジオキシチオフェン)ポリスチレンスルホン酸（PEDOT:PSS）系のインクの添加剤としても使用されています。

Biochem/physiol Actions

グリセロールは、吸湿性であり、3つの親水性のアルコール性水酸基を有するため水に溶けます。分子間および分子内の両方の水素結合を形成し、非常に柔軟な分子を形成します。 グリセリンの生理学的効果は、細胞を介した免疫に基づき、IgGの生産とヒスタミンの遊離を増加させます。
