General description

Adenine (Ade) is a purine base, which is present in nucleic acids. It binds with ribose to form nucleoside adenosine (A) and attach to deoxyribose to form nucleoside deoxyadenosine (dA).

Application

アデニンは、植物細胞培養の添加剤として用いることができます。ムラシゲ・スクーグ培地などの培養用培地の硫酸アデニン(25mg/L)により、多芽体形成の頻度が向上し、葉の硫黄病症状が回復します。

Adenine has been used in yeast extract supplemented (YES) broth and yeast nitrogen base glutamate (YNG)l media.
