ネスチン（NES）はクラスVIの細胞質タンパク質です。中間フィラメントで発現されており、分子量は177 kDaです。これをコードする遺伝子は、4つのエクソンのあるヒト染色体1q23.1に位置しています。

Immunogen

ヒトネスチンのアミノ酸残基254-270に対応する合成ペプチド。この配列はラットと93％同一です。

Biochem/physiol Actions

ネスチン（NES）は、細胞増殖に関与するタンパク質の調節因子として機能します。また、中間径フィラメントの他のタンパク質とも相互作用します。NESは神経幹細胞のマーカーとして研究されています。
