Application
トランスフェリンは、血清中に存在する主要な鉄結合細胞送達分子です。無血清細胞培養系では、鉄輸送因子が必要です。細胞は、トランスフェリンと結合した鉄を、細胞表面のトランスフェリン受容体を介して、生理学的に適切な方法で処理するため、トランスフェリンは主要な鉄輸送因子とされています。ヒトホロトランスフェリンは、広範な細胞型に使用できる高親和性のトランスフェリンです。ヒトホロトランスフェリンは、鉄で飽和させてから使用するか、鉄欠乏または鉄不含細胞培養培地に直接添加します。
ホロトランスフェリン、ヒトは、前赤芽球増殖分析のためにロズウェルパーク記念研究所（RPMI）に補充され、また誘導結合プラズマ発光分光用の培養培地にも補充されています。
