L-glutamine is found to be one of the most abundant amino acid in blood stream. It is useful in a number of biochemical processes like production of other amino acids, glucose, nucleotides, protein, and glutathione. It may also be used as a supplement to increase the intestinal villous height, maintain mucosal integrity and stimulate gut mucosal cellular proliferation. It may also find applications in the treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, since it has the tendency to suppress gut and oral-toxic side effects.

Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Packaging

Bottomless glass bottle. Contents are inside inserted fused cone.

Helminth parasites remain one of the most common causes of infections worldwide, yet little is still known about the immune signaling pathways that control their expulsion. C57BL/6 mice are chronically susceptible to infection with the gastrointestinal helminth parasite Heligmosomoides polygyrus.

Failure of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) or natural killer (NK) cells to kill target cells by perforin (Prf)/granzyme (Gzm)-induced apoptosis causes severe immune dysregulation. In familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, Prf-deficient infants suffer a fatal "cytokine storm" resulting from macrophage overactivation, but
