General description

It elevates blood glucose levels by stimulating gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis while inhibiting glycogenesis and gylcolysis in the liver. This hormone is extremely important in studying therapeutic targets for diabetes, particularly Type I.

Application

This assay is a chemiluminescent sandwich ELISA & is based on the capture of glucagon molecules in the sample, after extraction & reconstitution.
