Biochem/physiol Actions

メトトレキサートは、ジヒドロ葉酸からテトラヒドロ葉酸への変換を触媒する酵素であるジヒドロ葉酸レダクターゼ（DHFR）のアロステリック阻害剤です。プリンとピリミジンの合成にはテトラヒドロ葉酸が必要であるため、メトトレキサート処理をすると、DNAおよびRNA合成が阻害されます。
