Biochem/physiol Actions
Con Aは、血液型に特異的ではないものの、末端のα-D-マンノシル残基およびα-D-グルコシル基に対する親和性を有しています。活性化には、Ca2+イオンおよびMn2+イオンが必要です。Con Aは、pH 5.6以下で解離して二量体になります。Con AはpH 5.8~pH 7.0では四量体として存在し、pH 7.0を超えると、高次凝集体が形成されます。Con Aは、その凝集度に依存した分裂促進活性を示します。スクシニル化されると、高活性な二量体となり、pH 5.6を超えても二量体は維持されます。
コンカナバリン A は、急性肝炎を刺激し、T 細胞マイトジェンとして機能することが知られています。オートファジーの誘導による、肝細胞癌への阻害効果を持っています。
