General description

フシジン酸は、ステロイドの構造に似ている抗生物質です。フシダンのクラスに属します。

Application

フシジン酸ナトリウム塩は、細菌である野生型Escherichia coli（大腸菌）の増殖速度に与える3つの薬剤の組合せの効果を研究するために使用されています。また、イヌ由来の欧州メチシリン耐性Staphylococcus pseudintermediusとStaphylococcus aureus（黄色ブドウ球菌）、およびそれらのメチシリン感受性対照物株のin vitroでの感受性を研究するためにも使用されます。

Biochem/physiol Actions

フシジン酸は皮膚病原体に対する抗菌作用を有します。Staphylococcus aureusに非常に特異的です。そのため、感染した外傷性創傷、毛包炎、せつ腫症、膿痂疹、紅色陰癬および膿瘍の治療に使用されます。

膵島細胞の一酸化窒素による溶解を抑制し、原核生物のタンパク合成を阻害します。

膵島細胞の一酸化窒素による溶解を抑制します。伸長因子Gのリボソ-ム依存的活性の阻害とペプチジルtRNAの転移の阻害により、原核生物のタンパク質合成を阻害します。
