Application

硫酸ゲンタマイシンは広い抗菌スペクトルを持つ抗生物質で、選抜試薬（ゲンタマイシン耐性遺伝子）として分子生物学や細胞培養アプリケーションで用いられます。この製品は脱イオン水中10 mg/mLのゲンタマイシンを含むよう調製されており、真核生物の細胞培地で1リットル当たり1 mLの容量での使用を推奨します。

Biochem/physiol Actions

作用機序：ゲンタマイシンは、リボソームの30Sサブユニットに結合することで、タンパク質の合成を阻害します。

抗菌スペクトル：テトラサイクリン、クロラムフェニコール、カナマイシン、およびコリスチンに耐性を示す菌株、特に、Pseudomonas、Proteus、StaphylococcusおよびStreptococcusなどのグラム陰性およびグラム陽性菌を含む。

Other Notes

ゲンタマイシンはアミノグルコシド複合体でMicromonospora purpureaまたはM. echinosporaから発酵生成されます。硫酸塩として用いられています。3つの構成要素からなり、それぞれの構成要素は5つの塩基性窒素と1 molのゲンタマイシン塩基当たり5価と等価の硫酸からなっています。
