フラボバクテリウムヘパリナム由来のヘパリナーゼIIIは、特定のGAGを切断するために使用されています。また、抗-aFGF（酸性線維芽細胞増殖因子）抗体と反応するタンパク質の電気泳動移動度に対するその作用を研究するために使用されています。

Biochem/physiol Actions

主にヘパリン硫酸プロテオグリカンを基質として認識するヘパリン分解リア-ゼです。
ヘパリナーゼIIIは、新生血管のin vivo形成を抑止し、ヘパリン硫酸をHNY-IおよびHNY,6X-G2結合で特異的に分解します。ヘパリナーゼIIIは、他のヘパリナーゼとは異なりアミノ酸システインを含まず、触媒作用を引き起こす13ヒスチジン残基を含みます。この酵素は、ヘパリンや低分子量ヘパリンに対しては作用しません。

Other Notes

1単位で、pH 7.5、25℃において1時間当たり0.1 μmolの不飽和ウロン酸が生成されます。1国際単位（I.U.）は約600σ単位と等価です。包装サイズはσ単位で示されます。
