Arthrobacter luteus由来のリチカーゼは、ポリメラーゼ連鎖反応（PCR）フィンガープリント解析に用いる高分子量DNAを抽出するための細胞の再懸濁に使用されています。

Biochem/physiol Actions

リチカーゼは、部分的スフェロプラスト形成を誘発することで酵母細胞からDNAを抽出するために使用される溶解酵素です。その後、スフェロプラストは溶解されDNAを遊離します。リチカーゼは、細胞壁が莢膜や耐性胞子を形成している可能性があるため破壊するのが困難な酵母の細胞壁を消化するのに推奨されます。リチカーゼは、β-(1→;3)-glucan laminaripentaohydrolaseを、β-(1→3)-グルカナーゼ、プロテアーゼ、ナンナーゼの活性と共に備えています。Candida、 Debaryomyces、Saccharomyces, Saccharomycopsis、Saccharomycodes、Eremothecium、Schwanniomyces などの各種酵母細胞と共に役に立ちます。
リチカーゼ酵素は真菌の研究、特にポリメラーゼ連鎖反応（PCR）に基づく手法を用いた種の同定によく用いられます。これは、グルコース単位間のβ（1→3）およびβ（1→4）結合を切断できます。
リティカーゼは、酵母細胞壁グルカンなどのポリ-β（1→3）-グルコースを加水分解します。

Other Notes

1ユニットは、3 mLの反応混合液中で酵母菌の懸濁液を基質として用いる場合、pH 7.5、25°C、1分間に、ΔA800が0.001となる酵素量です。
