General description

Oil Red O は脂質を赤橙色に染色します。空胞も染色し、特に ALL-L3（急性リンパ性白血病）またはバーキットリンパ腫／白血病において染色が観察されます。アルコール固定により脂質が除去されるため、Oil Red O 染色は新鮮サンプルに使用されます。

Application

Oil red O は lysochrome（脂溶性色素）ジアゾ色素であり、凍結切片上の中性トリグリセリドおよび脂質ならびにパラフィン切片上のいくつかのリポタンパク質の染色に使用されます。組織学においては、Oil Red O の過飽和イソプロパノール溶液が組織中の脂質の染色に使用される場合があります。

Oil red O 溶液は中性脂質および脂肪細胞の染色、ならびに線維芽細胞中の脂肪滴の可視化に使用されます。
