Sigma Adjuvant Systemは、従来のFreundの油中水型エマルジョンの代替品として使用できる安定な水中油型エマルジョンです。免疫系に強力な刺激を与える細菌およびマイコバクテリアの細胞壁成分を原料としています。

1バイアルあたり、0.5 mgのSalmonella minnesota由来モノホスホリルリピドA(脱毒化したエンドトキシン:detoxified endotoxin)と0.5 mgの合成トレハロースジコリノミコラートが2%油(スクアレン)/Tween® 80/水中に含まれています。
