レボブピバカインはN-アルキル置換ピペコロキシリジド族に属し、アミノ-アミド基を有します。
Application
塩酸レボブピバカインは、タンデム質量分析における分析物として用いられています。カプサイシンが仲介する細胞外シグナル調節キナーゼ（ERK）のリン酸化に対する塩酸レボブピバカインの阻害作用の試験にも使用できます。また、ポリ(D,L-乳酸-co-グリコリド)（PLGA）微小粒子の成分として、エレクトロスプレー法によるその持続放出性試験にも使用できます。

レボブピバカインは、神経細胞膜における活動電位およびナトリウム通過を遮断することでその作用を発揮します。
レボブピバカイン塩酸塩は、ナトリウムチャネル阻害剤です。
レボブピバカイン塩酸塩は、硬膜外麻酔のための長時間作用型局所麻酔薬として使用されるナトリウムチャネル阻害剤です。 レボブピバカインは、ブピバカインの（S）-異性体であり、心毒性リスクが低く、ブピバカインと同等の有効性を有しています。
