グアニジン塩酸塩は、アミノ酸残基間の水素結合を壊すため、変性剤として一般的に使用されます。それらの結合を壊すことで、タンパク質の3次元立体構造が壊れ、その水溶解性が劇的に向上します。変性することで、タンパク質は様々な方法によって容易に還元、修飾、または解析できます。サンプルをさらに処理することで、質量分析法、電気泳動、および酵素消化などを含む他の一般的なタンパク質分析法による解析が可能になります。
グアニジン塩酸塩はまた、RNAの分離、球状タンパク質の変性、およびタンパク質のリフォールディング研究にも使用されています。また、複雑なタンパク質サンプルの分析のための、トリプシン消化ペプチドの生成促進にも使用できます。

Physical form

本製品は、すぐに使用できる6 Mグアニジン塩酸塩溶液です。6 Mグアニジン塩酸塩溶液は、より低濃度の溶液を適時調製するためのストック溶液として使用できます。

注記：6 Mバッファー中に沈殿が存在する場合は、使用前に容器を37°Cに加温し、完全に溶解するまで混合してください。
