General description
スルホローダミンB法は簡便かつ正確で、再現性のある結果が得られます。このアッセイ系は、細胞タンパク質をスルホローダミンBで染色することにより総バイオマスを測定する手法です。
Application
In Vitro毒性アッセイキット（スルホローダミンBベース）は、総タンパク質によるバイオマス（生細胞および非生細胞）の分光光度測定に使用されています。また、ぶどう膜黒色腫細胞5株の増殖に対する17-アリルアミノ-17-デメトキシゲルダナマイシン（17-AAG）の作用を研究するために使用されています。波長565 nmにおける色素の吸光度を測定します。

色素は細胞タンパク質に結合し、塩基で可溶化されます。
