          OverviewRecombinant, human α-synuclein expressed in E. coli. α-Synuclein is an acidic neuronal protein of 140 amino acids (amino acid residues 1 -140). This enzyme has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, and more recently, to be an important regulatory component of vesicular transport in neuronal cells.

Also reported to be an important regulatory component of vesicular transport in neuronal cells. The apparent molecular weight by SDS-PAGE is ~19-20 kDa.
