Application
β-グルクロニダーゼは、遺伝子発現をモニタリングするためのGUSアッセイにおけるレポーター遺伝子として使用されます。
βウシ肝由来のβ-グルクロニダーゼをβ-グルクロニダーゼ阻害アッセイに使用して、Phyllanthus amarusの抽出物および分離活性成分に対するβ-グルクロニダーゼ阻害作用が研究されています。また、脱グルクロン酸抱合を実施するために使用されています。
Biochem/physiol Actions
ββ-グルクロニダーゼ（GUSB）が欠乏すると、ムコ多糖症タイプVII（MPSVII）を発症し、脳内でのリソソーム貯蔵につながることがあります。GUSBの働きにより、ステロイドホルモンβ-グルクロニドの組織への組み込みが可能です。
β-グルクロニダーゼは、複合炭水化物の分解を触媒します。ヒトでは、これは抱合ビリルビンを非抱合体に変換し、ビリルビンを再吸収に適したものにします。
General description
ββ-グルクロニダーゼ（GUSB）はリソソーム酵素であり、動物、植物、細菌に見られます。このエキソグリコシダーゼは脾臓、肝臓および腎臓で高い活性を示します。ウシ肝β-グルクロニダーゼ（BLG）は、分子量290 kDaのホモ四量体です。
