SIGMA 1 unitまたは改変Fishman 1 unitは、pH 5.0、37°C、1時間で、フェノールフタレイン1.0 μgをフェノールフタレイングルクロニドから遊離させる酵素量です(30分間アッセイ)。
スルファターゼ単位の定義:スルファターゼ1 unitは、pH 5.0、37°C、1時間で、1.0 μmolの硫酸p-ニトロカテコールを加水分解する酵素量です。
