It is intended to be used as a USP reference standard in specified quality tests and assays.(1)
Also used to prepare the standard solution for identification and assay of tobramycin and its different dosage forms using thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and liquid chromatography (LC) combined with UV detection at 365 nm respectively, as prescribed in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for the following monographs:

トブラマイシンはアミノグリコシド系です。
作用機序: 70Sリボソ-ムサブユニットへの結合、トランスロケ-ションの阻害、ミスコ-ディングの誘発。
活性スペクトル: グラム陰性菌。腸球菌に対しては効果を示しません。
