Biochem/physiol Actions

IL-6は、免疫および炎症反応を制御することにより宿主防御で重要な役割を果たす多面作用性のサイトカインです。T細胞、単球、線維芽細胞、内皮細胞およびケラチノサイトにより産生されるIL-6は、多様な生物学的機能を有しています。これは、B細胞の分化と抗体産生を刺激し、巨核球の発達と血小板産生においてIL-3と相乗作用を示し、肝臓の急性期タンパク質の発現を誘発し、骨代謝を制御します。
