      Application CommentsDoes not cross-react with other dopamine receptors. This antibody has also been reported to work for ELISA. For immunoblotting, a 1:800 dilution of the reconstituted serum detected a single band at ~48 kDa in an analysis using whole rat brain homogenates. For immunohistochemistry, a 1:500 dilution of the reconstituted serum demonstrated specific staining of rat brain sections including the plasma membrane of neurons in the cortex and caudate putamen. Staining was also observed along apical dendrites of layer 5 cortex cells. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
