      DescriptionGoat polyclonal antibody supplied as undiluted serum. Recognizes 8-hydroxydeoxy-guanosine.
      Background8-Hydroxydeoxy-guanosine is a modified base that occurs in DNA due to attack by reactive oxygen species. Increases in the levels of 8-hydroxyguanosine have been associated with several diseases in humans, such as arteriosclerosis, cerebral and heart ischemia-reperfusion injury, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation, diabetes, aging, and neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer's disease.
