      Application CommentsReactivity is weaker in non-human species. Antigenicity of elastic fiber components can be enhanced by treating tissue sections or fixed cell preparations with 6 M guanidine HCl, 20 mM Tris, 50 mM DTT, pH 8.0, for 15 min. Wash slides with 20 mM Tris, pH 8.0, then treat with 100 mM iodoacetamide in the dark for 15 min. Wash again in 20 mM Tris and stain using normal protocols. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal working dilution.
