Determined by competitive ELISA and immunoblotting to recognize the chromophore structure of fluorophore derived from the reaction of 4-HNE with primary amines. Does not recognize 1:1 cysteine-, 1:1 histidine-, or 1:1 lysine-HNE Michael Adducts. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
