BugBuster^® Protein Extraction Reagents

For gentle, efficient, non-mechanical extraction of soluble proteins from bacterial cells, use BugBuster^® Protein Extraction Reagents. This proprietary, innovative, Tris-buffer based mixture of non-ionic and zwitterionic detergents and other ingredients is capable of perforating cell walls without denaturing protein. It provides a simple, rapid, low-cost alternative to mechanical methods, such as French Press or sonication, for releasing expressed target protein for purification or other applications. Simply add the BugBuster® Reagent to your cell pellet and incubate at room temperature for 10 minutes.
